Targeted airflow
ACTIVE AERODYNAMIC PROFILE IN THE UNDERBODY
AEROKINETICS Venturi Flow supports precise driving at the limit: two active aerodynamic elements in the underbody automatically lower when required and precisely control the airflow. Through the adapted underbody contour, the air beneath the vehicle is accelerated – the Venturi effect creates a strong low-pressure zone that noticeably increases downforce. This results in outstanding cornering speeds and greater stability under high dynamic loads. Activation is speed-dependent: the front element deploys at 120 km/h, while the centrally positioned element deploys at 140 km/h.

Optimised driving stability
ACTIVE REAR SPOILER WITH INTELLIGENT POSITION CONTROL
The active rear spoiler regulates rear-axle lift and ensures vehicle stability across all speed ranges. Its objective is the precise regulation of rear-axle lift depending on the driving condition. Its position is adjusted automatically. To do so, the system takes into account speed, longitudinal and lateral acceleration, as well as steering-wheel angular velocity. At 80 km/h, the spoiler moves through different height levels. In total, three positions are available: retracted up to 80 km/h for minimal aerodynamic drag, intermediate angle positions based on speed and the position of the other active aero components, and the steepest angle at high speeds and during dynamic driving. This ensures not only optimal driving stability at all times, but also reduced aerodynamic drag and an increased top speed.

Intelligent air control
AEROKINETICS AIRPANEL: ACTIVE AIR-MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN NINE STAGES
The further developed AEROKINETICS Airpanel regulates airflow at the front as required and combines vertical louvres in the central air intake with additional louvres on the left and right outer sides behind the brake-cooling intakes. This makes the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé the first vehicle within the Group to bring together wheel-arch coolers and the main cooling package in series production – a cooling-operation strategy in its most advanced form. In their default position, the louvres remain closed up to higher speeds. This reduces aerodynamic drag, increases range, and directs the air specifically toward the underbody in order to reduce lift at the front axle. Only when cooling-air demand increases and defined components reach their temperature thresholds do the louvres open, allowing maximum cooling air to flow to the central main cooling module (battery cooling) and to the side coolers. Control takes place independently and across nine stages up to full opening – precisely adapted to the required cooling output.
