Groundbreaking drive concept

World-first innovation "Made in Germany"

The new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé heralds a new level of performance with its revolutionary powertrain and high-performance battery technology.

Equipped with three highly innovative axial-flux motors – two on the rear axle and one on the front axle, each integrated into a High Performance Electric Drive Unit (HP.EDU) – this sports car delivers outstanding overall performance to the road. It proves that a high-tech powertrain 'Made in Germany' still makes a significant difference in the electric age.

In figures, the Mercedes-AMG GT 55 4MATIC+ already offers an impressive output of 600 kW (816 hp) – the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ surpasses this level even further. It has an exceptional 860 kW (1,169 hp) at its disposal as peak output during AMG Launch Control and an 80% charge level. This enables a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in just 6.4 seconds*. With the optional Driver’s Package, the top speed is 300 km/h.

Driving dynamics at a professional level

Driving pleasure completely re-inspired

Doping for the senses: the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé delivers performance on a whole new level – and with it, a unique and irresistible driving experience. This is thanks to numerous innovations and world firsts. One of these is the AMG RACE ENGINEER. This allows the dynamics of the four-door sports car to be tailored even more precisely to the driver’s personal driving style. Thanks to intelligently linked hardware and software, responsiveness, traction and cornering behaviour can be individually controlled. This further sharpens agility and catapults the driving experience to unimaginable levels. This is made possible by two key components:

The AMG RACE ENGINEER Core – a high-performance chip – centralises the control of the powertrain and dynamic handling systems and, through efficient data processing, optimises the configuration and utilisation of the components. It is complemented by the AMG RACE ENGINEER Control Unit: three rotary controllers seamlessly integrated into the centre console, allowing the response, cornering and traction behaviour to be individually adjusted – for maximum control, driving pleasure and an even more refined driving experience. Added to this are the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL air suspension and active rear-axle steering. These two components ensure both impressive dynamic sportiness and long-distance comfort, whilst improving handling in every driving situation up to the limit.

AMG High Performance Electric Battery

A powerhouse of emotions

The Formula 1-inspired high-voltage battery in the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé is a completely new development and the key to the outstanding overall performance of this spectacular sports car.

Thanks to an innovative direct cooling system, it delivers both high power output and rapid power delivery – combined with impressively fast energy absorption and high power density.

The charging performance also sets new standards, achieving a peak charging power of more than 600 kW with the appropriate infrastructure. This means in just ten minutes around 460 kilometres of range can be added, with charging from 10 to 80% State of Charge (SoC) taking just 11 minutes*.

*The specified recharged range (WLTP) after 11 minutes was determined using the maximum DC charging power according to ISO/SAE 12906 under the conditions described therein.
The information is preliminary. So far, neither confirmed values from an officially recognised testing organisation nor an EC-type approval nor a certificate of conformity with official figures are available. Deviations between the stated figures and the official values are possible.

Immersive V8 experience AMGFORCE S+

More than one great sound

V8 driving excitement by design: the AMGFORCE S+ driving programme delivers an unrivalled, immersive experience for all V8 enthusiasts. This includes authentic-feel traction interruptions, as well as simulated haptic gear shifting, complemented by an adapted driver display in the central-tube design. The patent-pending sound portfolio combines legendary AMG V8 acoustics with innovative electric technology in a radical concept: rather than imitating sound effects, the sound of an actual AMG V8 engine from the GT R was meticulously captured and digitised with every nuance for both inside and out.

This sound serves as the basis for a multi-sensory experience, tailored to the respective driving situation. Whether accelerating, during gearshifts or burbling – it offers the entire acoustic spectrum – unmistakable and typical of AMG. The experience extends beyond the driving itself: a deep bass tone activates when approaching and unlocking the vehicle, followed by two dark, heartbeat-like pulses upon entry and two confirming heartbeats when locking. Additional sound profiles for charging as well as for Launch Control, Boost and Showtime modes, complete the acoustic experience.

I’ve driven the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupé myself many times – and it genuinely stands out. It pushes performance to new limits and delivers the emotion our fans expect – now in the electric era.

Aerokinetics

As aerodynamic as it is breathtaking

To ensure that the unbridled power of the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé is transferred to the road in the best possible way, the four-door sports car’s active aerodynamics adapt in a flash to any driving situation – delivering an ideal balance of dynamics, efficiency and stability. The extendable rear spoiler adjusts its position according to the driving situation, ensuring handling that is both dynamic and safe. In addition, the AEROKINETICS Airpanel air-management system ensures that the cooling airflow is regulated as required –minimising drag and maximising range.

Furthermore, this fascinating sports car features a range of sophisticated innovations: two active AEROKINETICS Venturi plates in the underbody lower automatically as required for precise airflow control, producing a strong underpressure. At the same time, the new active AEROKINETICS rear diffuser plays a key role optimising aerodynamic balance, reinforcing the dynamic presence of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé. The result: impressive downforce and outstanding cornering speeds. Perfect for precise driving at the limit.

Exterior design

Radical proportions for extreme sportiness

The new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé makes a statement of ultimate sportiness from every angle, embodying a new AMG character. From the dynamic front design to the extremely low-slung silhouette and striking rear – the uncompromising design delivers exactly what the car promises: outstanding performance. A real highlight is the AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical slats and evolved concave shape, which can be illuminated for the first time as an optional add-on. The illuminated Mercedes star and the main headlights with star-shaped daytime running lights create a unique light signature, ensuring an unmistakable appearance.

The bonnet blends seamlessly into the overall design. Derived from motorsport, the two pronounced power domes clearly show off AMG’s sports-car DNA. The rear also embodies bold dynamic design: six circular taillights in turbine design with star graphics lend the sports car an unmistakable identity from the back as well. An optional, continuous light strip further underlines the lighting signature as an additional taillight, emphasising the car’s impressive, sporty look.

Driver-oriented interior concept

The best of both worlds

Pure sports car genes meet outstanding Gran-Turismo attributes: the highly exclusive interior of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé was developed specifically for uncompromising sportiness – without any loss of comfort. The low, sports car-typical seating position is perfectly integrated into the overall vehicle design, immediately conveying the focused, emotional driving experience familiar from models such as the two-door Mercedes-AMG GT.

In the rear, however, the focus is on Gran-Turismo qualities: two intelligently designed recesses in the floor provide passengers with generous legroom and comfortable knee angles, offering a high level of long-distance comfort. The dynamic interior concept skilfully combines elements and structures from motorsport with a digital cockpit setting new standards, a driver-oriented central display and a uniquely designed centre console. In short, it has everything you would expect from an in-house development from Affalterbach.

Digital cockpit

Control centre of performance

Unmistakably dynamic: the digital cockpit of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé is consistently geared towards the driver. The instrument panel is dominated by a wide display divided into driver- and passenger-oriented areas. The razor-sharp driver displays, consisting of a combination instrument (10.2”) and multimedia monitor (14.0”), offer a visual unit and extremely intuitive operation – just like the exclusive passenger display (14.0”), which shows separate content.

Further down, the eye is drawn to the centre console, which is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional and features a winglet in a real metal look at the front. It echoes the driver-oriented angle of the central display and includes an armrest with a closed storage compartment and two charging trays for inductive fast charging of smartphones. The three rotary controllers below are ergonomically oriented towards the driver and feature the striking chain-link look of the outer nozzles. This ensures maximum ease of use and an intuitive haptic experience: clearly high-quality.

Panoramic glass roof

Spectacular AMG lighting

An exclusive, airy feeling of space that is second to none: the generous, one-piece ‘SKY CONTROL’ panoramic glass roof extends to the rear window and can be switched between transparent and non-transparent. It is also divided into individually switchable segments – for more or less light. At night, the roof can be transformed into a sparkling canvas. Illuminated AMG emblems and motorsport-inspired racing stripes shine in colours that match the ambient lighting of the entire vehicle.

During the day, the standard heat-insulating, laminated safety glass provides intelligent protection from sunlight – with infrared-reflective and low-emissivity (LowE) coating. The latter keeps the interior cool in summer and reduces heat loss in winter. Important for performance purists all year round: a carbon-look ultra-lightweight roof, which is also available as an option.
