Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and LANDGRAF Motorsport also closely working together in 2024.

  • LANDGRAF Motorsport aims at historic third consecutive title win in ADAC GT Masters
  • Team trains drivers on the Nürburgring together with Mercedes-AMG
  • Stefan Wendl: “LANDGRAF Motorsport is a fundamental part of the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport family”

Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and LANDGRAF Motorsport want to celebrate success together again this year. The two have contested 98 races together with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 since 2017. Their last joint race participation was the FIA GT World Cup in Macau in November, where the team was crowned the winner. Klaus Landgraf and his team will get the 2024 motorsport season underway at the ADAC GT Masters in Oschersleben this weekend (26th to 28th April). Team LANDGRAF Motorsport rounds out the grid for the 18th ADAC GT Masters season as the reigning champions with a Mercedes-AMG GT3. At the finale in Hockenheim last October, Salman Owega (GER) and Elias Seppänen (FIN) secured the title to become the youngest champions’ duo in the history of the long-standing GT series. This was a first for LANDGRAF Motorsport, as it was the first time in the history of the ADAC GT Masters that a team managed to defend the drivers’ title with success.

The team is keen to continue this success story in the 2024 season and clinch its third consecutive ADAC GT Masters drivers’ title. Team LANDGRAF Motorsport will embark on the new season with starting number #1. The driver line-up for the title defence mission consists of Tom Kalender (GER) and last year’s champion Elias Seppänen. Only 16 years old, Tom Kalender is contesting his maiden season in GT racing. He is the youngest driver ever to have competed in ADAC GT Masters. The young driver from Hamm/Sieg started his career in karting. Tom Kalender is part of Motorsport Team Germany - a support programme of the ADAC Stiftung Sport and the DMSB (Deutscher Motor-Sport Bund). Elias Seppänen is entering his third season in GT racing. The 20-year-old has been racing regularly with LANDGRAF Motorsport since 2022. In addition to real-world racing, the Finn has also repeatedly caught the attention in the esports segment.

LANDGRAF Motorsport also trains Mercedes-AMG drivers on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife together with Mercedes-AMG. Under the Mercedes-AMG Team LANDGRAF banner, the team from Gensingen will contest the races NLS 3: 69th ADAC Westfalenfahrt (22 June), NLS4: 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen (3 August) and NLS6: 56th ADAC Barbarossapreis (16 November) with Performance status. Mercedes-AMG Motorsport is using this cooperation to prepare for the 2025 Nordschleife season at an early stage.

“LANDGRAF Motorsport is a fundamental part of the Mercedes-AMG Motorsport family. I am very happy that, with Klaus Landgraf, we have been able to integrate extremely targeted and hugely important concepts into our motorsport programme. The training of Mercedes-AMG drivers on the Nürburgring Nordschleife is immensely important for the strategic direction and success of our Customer Racing programme.”
Stefan Wendl, head of Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing

“We are very proud of our co-operation with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. We will contest races 99 and 100 of our partnership at Oschersleben, we have won the FIA GT World Cup in Macau together and became ADAC GT Masters champions twice in a row - these are extraordinarily nice milestones that we can look back upon with satisfaction. I am delighted that we will be continuing this collaboration in the future.”
Klaus Landgraf, team owner LANDGRAF Motorsport

“I am very happy and grateful that I have already been given the opportunity to make the step from single-seater racing to GT racing this year. I am delighted to be able to drive a car for the full season with such a professional team as LANDGRAF Motorsport and last year’s champion Elias Seppänen. Bernd Schneider is supporting us in this challenge as a coach. We are very confident about the first race.”
Tom Kalender, LANDGRAF Motorsport #1

“I can hardly wait to finally start the new ADAC GT Masters season with LANDGRAF Motorsport. It is already my third year in a row with the team in this championship. Our preparations in the winter were really good. Together with the team and my new driver colleague Tom Kalender, I am doing my best to defend the championship title again. We are all really looking forward to the season.”
