Summary
In the 2023 season, our teams are once again celebrating numerous successes: in national and international competitions, the racing cars from Affalterbach achieved a total of 110 race wins, 137 class wins, 963 podium finishes and 66 championships. In addition, our new Mercedes-AMG GT2 is making its successful debut in races in Europe and America. The most powerful homologated race car in the history of Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing immediately proves to be a winner, taking first place in its class in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and in GT America at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In November, the Mercedes-AMG GT2 PRO, a model designed for track days, is presented with a Push2Pass function - up to 750 hp (551 kW) are available by touching a button on the steering wheel.
2023
Highlights
We see our first major successes at the beginning of the year: The GTD Pro class victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona is followed by first and third place at the Bathurst 12 Hour. At the 24h Nürburgring, the Mercedes-AMG Team BILSTEIN clinches a podium. At the 24 Hours of Spa, SunEnergy1 Racing wins the Pro-Am category despite starting from the pit lane, and the Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed finishes second overall. In the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe, the AKKODIS ASP Team with Timur Boguslavskiy and Raffaele Marciello defends all four titles in the overall and endurance classifications. Junior Driver Jordan Love secures the sprint title in the Silver Cup together with the Haupt Racing Team. Anthony Liu Xu becomes drivers' champion in the GT World Challenge Asia, while Colin Braun and George Kurtz win the Pro-Am championship in America. The trophy for the global manufacturers' champion therefore went to Affalterbach for the fifth time since 2019. With the victory at the IMSA Petit Le Mans finale, we secure the triple of driver, team and manufacturer championships in both GTD classes in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. In the ADAC GT Masters, Salman Owega and Elias Seppänen become the youngest drivers' champions in the history of the sprint series, making Landgraf Motorsport the first team ever to win a second consecutive championship. The Haupt Racing Team wins the team title in its debut year. Raffaele Marciello is the first driver to successfully defend his title in the FIA GT World Cup in Macau - and the fifth win in a row for Mercedes-AMG in Macau. In the Intercontinental GT Challenge, we confirm our manufacturers' championship from the previous year after the victorious finale at the Gulf 12 Hours, while Performance Driver Jules Gounon concludes the season with the drivers' title. We celebrate further championship successes in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, the 24H Series and the British GT Championship, among others.

Summary
With 63 team and driver championships, including the ADAC GT Masters, the Intercontinental GT Challenge and the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe, we are celebrating our most successful customer racing season ever. The impressive result of the twelfth customer racing season: 80 race wins, 225 class wins and more than 600 podium finishes in around 470 races. To mark the 55th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG, the strictly limited Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series, designed for track days, is launched. In winter, we present the Mercedes-AMG GT2, our most powerful homologated racing car yet, which extends the extensive customer sports range.
2022
Highlights
Our customer racing teams and drivers provide numerous sporting highlights on the world's race tracks. In the Intercontinental GT Challenge, we take a historic one-two-three at Bathurst and a one-two at Spa-Francorchamps. We also finished at the top of the podium at Kyalami and Indianapolis - an unprecedented winning streak that comes to a successful conclusion with Daniel Juncadella as Drivers' Champion, Kenny Habul as Pro-Am Champion and Mercedes-AMG as Manufacturers' Champion. In the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe, the AKKODIS ASP Team and Raffaele Marciello secured the two overall titles. In the overall manufacturers' championship for all four continents, we took first place. Raffaele Marciello, with MANN-FILTER Team LANDGRAF, is also the ADAC GT Masters drivers' champion. In the DTM, Lucas Auer remains in the title race until the season finale and celebrates the runner-up title at the end. Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing celebrated further successes, including a double podium at the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring and title wins in the British GT Championship and the 24H Series Championship of the Continents.
2021
Summary
The involvement in motorsport is expanded further. Next to the comprehensive Customer Racing Programme, there is also the participation in DTM, run with GT3 cars for the first time in 2021. Multiple prestigious race wins and over 30 championship titles are secured, some of them in the world’s most renown race series. The customer sports teams participate with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and the Mercedes-AMG GT4 in 474 races all over the world. And quite successfully, too: they rack up 93 race wins and 229 class wins. In total, 573 podium results are in the books.
2021
Highlights
To start off the year, Mercedes-AMG scores a historic 1-2 in the GTD class during the Daytona 24 Hours. WINWARD Racing drivers Indy Dontje, Philip Ellis, Maro Engel and Russell Ward come out on top, followed by SunEnergy1 Racing with drivers Mikaël Grenier, Kenny Habul, Raffaele Marciello and Luca Stolz. It is the first-ever win for the Mercedes-AMG at the legendary oval. In DTM, Maximilian Götz wins the coveted drivers’ title by virtue of a pair of wins from the final two races in a heart-stopping finale at Norisring. On the penultimate weekend, Mercedes-AMG already seals the manufacturers’ crown. Mercedes-AMG Motorsport is successful on all continents. In Asia, Craft-Bamboo Racing’s Darryl O‘Young secures another victory in the legendary Macau Grand Prix. The title defence in the GT World Challenge manufacturers’ standings once again underlines the global competitive abilities of the Mercedes-AMG GT3.
2020
Summary
In 2020, Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing is celebrating its tenth anniversary. At the beginning of the anniversary year, the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 made its debut in the Dubai 24-hour race and secured a podium finish in the 12-hour race at Bathurst in Australia. Moreover, Mercedes-AMG launches a new version of the Mercedes-AMG GT4 in March, only for the motorsport season to be interrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic shortly thereafter. Detailed safety and hygiene concepts allow for races to be held again from the end of June onwards after a break of several months. Numerous Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Teams used the break from racing of several months to participate in the virtual events of the race series. After real-world racing had resumed, many customer teams continued their involvement in sim racing.
2020
Highlights
In the first race of the season in Dubai, BLACK FALCON achieves a very special victory with the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3: the team wins the 24-hour race in the desert state for the fifth time and therefore becomes the record holder, just like Mercedes-AMG as a manufacturer. In the further course of the year, teams and drivers prove to be strong as well: in the GT World Challenge Europe, Timur Boguslavskiy (RUS) wins the drivers’ title while Madpanda Motorsport and Ezequiel Perez Companc (ARG) achieve the double in the Silver Cup and Mercedes-AMG defends the title in the combined manufacturers’ standings of the GT World Challenge Europe and GT World Challenge America. Numerous race wins in renowned competitions like the Nürburgring Endurance Series, ADAC GT Masters and the Macau GT Cup add up to an impressive list of achievements in 2020.

At the occasion of the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, a further developed version of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 is presented. It features revised looks and numerous technical optimisations.

Nico Bastian achieves a triple title win in the Silver Cup of the Blancpain GT Series (Endurance, Sprint, overall). AKKA ASP pulls off the same feat in the Silver Cup teams’ standings while the French team also seals the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe crown. In the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia, Roelof Bruins secures the drivers’ title. Thanks to the achievements in the Blancpain GT World Challenge America, Mercedes-AMG wins the manufacturers’ title in the inaugural global Blancpain GT World Challenge. The season finale is a successful one, too: with Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing, Raffaele Marciello secures the fourth victory for Mercedes-AMG Motorsport in the FIA GT World Cup at Macau.

Driving the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Mercedes-AMG GT4, the Customer Racing Teams claim a total of 373 podium finishes and 141 victories in 394 races. More than 40 championship titles round off the season.

In the first full season of the Mercedes-AMG GT4, Customer Racing Teams secure two class victories in the Nürburgring 24-hour race.

Boosted by the achievements and the ever-increasing popularity of GT racing, Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing adds another vehicle category to its portfolio and presents the production-based Mercedes-AMG GT4 during the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps. Technology and logistics centres are established to ensure more rapid spare parts supply in Asia, America and Australia.

Edoardo Mortara drives the Mercedes-AMG GT3 to victory in the FIA GT World Cup at Macau. In the endurance cup of the North IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Riley Motorsports crowns its maiden season with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 by winning the championship titles for manufacturers, drivers and teams.

With outstanding achievements, private customer teams can put themselves in a position to be considered for the Performance Team status with extended works support. Beyond the technical support, these teams are also enhanced by engineers and motorsport specialists from Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing.

Mercedes-AMG develops the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series (a small production run of 29 cars) that has been racing in its dedicated one-make series, the CLA AMG Cup, within the Brazilian Mercedes-Benz Challenge since 2014.

The Customer Racing Programme has its roots in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3. As a homage to the legendary 300 SL gull-wing door car, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is the first vehicle developed completely in house. Mercedes-AMG enters the new segment with the innovative capacity that is typical for the company and, in cooperation with HWA AG, develops a GT3 version of the gull-wing door vehicle within six months.

The SLS AMG GT3 makes its debut on 25 September as part of the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring. Piloted by Thomas Jäger and Christopher Haase, Team BLACK FALCON secures the historical first victory in its second race at the challenging Nordschleife.
